Son Heung-min called up by Serie A 'top club' AC Milan↔Ronaldo heir in swap deal

The Italian Serie A's most prestigious club, AC Milan, is said to want Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur).

Italian media outlet Il Romanista reported on April 24 (KST), "According to recent rumors, Son Heung-min is very close to a big club in the Italian league," implying that a swap deal has been discussed between Tottenham and AC Milan.

Il Romanista added: 'The Italian clubs most interested in Son are Inter Milan and AC Milan. The Nerazzurri have an extra card to play to convince Tottenham. 'AC Milan could propose an exchange for Raphael Varane,' he explained.

However, a one-for-one swap is not possible at this point in time, based on market value and potential.

Leroy is a highly touted prospect in Portugal who has been touted as Cristiano Ronaldo's successor.

'Tottenham should add between €30 million and €40 million in cash in addition to Son Heung-min,' Ilomanista said. Leroy is worth more than Son because of his age and recent performances.

With two years left on Son's contract at Tottenham, the move is quite unexpected. Son is widely regarded as a player who is very happy at Tottenham. His loyalty to the club has always made him an unlikely transfer target.

It's very possible that this could end up being a flop, but it also makes sense considering the situation Spurs are in. 메이저사이트

Tottenham are in the worst kind of crisis. One year removed from the Champions League, they're down to eighth place in the Premier League. One of their biggest stars, Harry Kane, is so disappointed with the club that he has called for change, saying "a lot of things need to change. Tottenham are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep hold of one-time club legend Kane.

As Spurs embark on a major overhaul, Son Heung-min is no exception. Heung-min was the top scorer in the 2021-2022 season, but has only scored 10 goals this season. Tottenham would have a more dynamic frontline if they deployed Leroy Sane instead of Son in the flanker position.

'Son is getting older and older,' says Ilomanista. He hasn't won anything with Tottenham. He might want a new experience, maybe a trophy. If he decides to leave, there will be a lot of teams after him.
